Baba Sahib Singh Ji Bedi was born in the family of Ajit Singh Ji, son of Baba Kladhari, and Mata Saroop Devi Ji in Samvat 1813. Known for his selflessness and dedication to preaching the teachings of Guru Nanak Sahib, Baba Sahib Singh Ji Bedi established a langar that operated round the clock and facilitated continuous “Katha Kirtan” sessions. He passed away at Ouna on the 13th of Har Suddi, Samvat 1891, leaving behind a legacy of spiritual service.

The holy shrine, Damdama Sahib Baba Sahib Singh Ji Bedi, is situated near the Gujranwala City railway station, merely four feet away from the railway lines, making it easily accessible to devotees and visitors.
Preservation Efforts:
The construction of this grand shrine was initiated and completed by Sardar Bahadur Sukha Singh, President of the Damdama Sahib Committee, with the assistance of his sons, Sardar Mangal Singh and Mahan Singh, on 9th October 1928 AD. Despite being under the legal ownership of the Evacuee Trust Board, the shrine currently accommodates numerous refugee families while continuing its religious activities.
